My 21st Bday!

ITMY 21st BIRTHDAY!

Today, I woke up to a great breakfast from my host mom, and she sang a Mexican Birthday song to me. It was beautiful! When I got to campus for classes, I was greeted by many who wished me a great day! For one of my classes, I brought candy, and everyone had to write me a letter in Spanish with their birthday wishes for me. After that, our teacher let us play Taboo in Spanish! It was a great day of classes!

As much as I like to hang out with my friends, it was very nice to spend some alone time with my Mom and Tasha on my birthday. We took a bus to a close by city called, "Tepoztlan." Oh..This bus..Was quite the cultural experience, I think especially for Peg! Cuernavaca is such a pretty city for Mexico, I think that it was nice for us to get out of the city and see some of the countryside and get that cultural experience. We took a bus that was about to break in half but it got us there! Here they have awesome markets and also have some mountains you can climb. Well, with a 50 year old mom, and a sister with a baby on the way, I dont think that mountain climbing was going to happen!! So we just looked around and took some pictures of the beautiful mountains! ( Check out the pics)

When we got back, we went to the movie theater to relax. The movie theaters here are super super nice. Something that you couldnt even imagine in the US. They have VIP services, etc...We didnt get the chance to do that, but we did get to see gorgeous Patrick Dempsey on the big screen for a couple of hours!! haha. It was nice to relax with just the girls! After the movie, we went to a little bar across from the hotel for a celebration drink for my birthday! I was sad to think I would have to spend my birthday in Mexico, but I am so blessed that I was able to spend that day with the two most important women in my life!
I am so thankful for all of the birthday wishes from everyone also!!
